It is not uncommon to find, still today, the last woods of locust-trees or beeches dotting the careful pattern of the agricultural landscape: all this, together with the last strips of the still intact wetlands in the Bassa Pianura Veronese, give the sense of a virgin, primitive, "good-hearted" nature. Men seem to be keeping the last image of a lost paradise in woods and wetlands.
