of Isola della Scala
Isola della Scala, Pellegrina, Tarmassia, Erbè and other villages of the Pianura Veronese, situated along the banks of the rivers Tione and Tartaro, have definitely left everyday life objects and even a necropolis dating back to the first century A.D. The Archaeological Museum was set up in 1978 to preserve the remarkable discoveries unearthed in the territory and it exhibits vases, remnants, jewels and furnishings dating back mainly to the Bronze Age, although there are also finds dating back to the Iron and Roman Age.
